Growing Trees

13 blocks were made for me when it was my turn for the bee block in our Modern Monday group. At the time, I made one extra block and then put them on the shelf where they have been since April/May.

Recently, I made up two more blocks to make my total 16. Good old google images sent me to pinterest where I found ideas for these two blocks.

Then I kept going and got half the top put together. My plan back in April was not to sash but it was a bit wishy washy and beige, although probably more 'modern' in look. It's definitely more colourful like this.

I might gift this one to my Dad if it doesn't turn out too flowery. Like me, he likes something over his feet and legs while watching telly at night. And what more could an orchardist want on a quilt, but trees! Only a few of them are fruit tree in shape.

  1. I was wondering what happened to those little trees. I like the sashing, mainly because I love that fabric. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
