Back from the Quilter

Exciting. Carol rang last week to say my quilts were ready to be picked up. I put it off until today because traffic after school is a pain. So this afternoon, I picked up my four quilts and wow! Love them.

Here are some up close pics.

The bee trees have improved out of sight with clouds, grass, hills and mountains. The cross quilt has had off-centre crosses quilted. I took a list of words to go on the orange picnic quilt. The only word that would not work was 'ai - the Hawaiian word for eat. Because of the linked writing the apostrophe would not stand out. And my Lucky Stars have been ditched and the big star in the centre has had detail added. (Lucy the Cat is already sleeping under the Lucky Stars!)

I look forward to the next month of binding.

  1. These look fabulous. Binding them is nice in winter too, something to snuggle under on these cooler evenings.
