A Qu
A feel it's cheating to call this an actual quilt when all I did was cut fat quarters into strips and sew them together, so it's called a qu rather than a quilt.
I was inspired by Jane Brocket's book The Gentle Art of Quiltmaking. If I was to make this kind of quilt again, I would cut more strips 4+". However, I like the brightness of it.

It doesn't need to have fancy piecing to be a quilt! You put the focus on the fabrics and the colors--it's beautiful.

ReplyDeleteNo need to minimise - the piecing may be simple, but the effect is still beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very happy quilt and really, quilts come in all shapes and sizes dont they? Would have been fun to sew something easy and pretty I'm sure :)
