Hobby Horses

We decided our Whanau teacher theme for Whanau Sports Day this year was going to be Cowboys. During the week I decided every good cowboy needs a horse, so whipped up (with the photocopier, scissors, stapler and masking tape!) 18 hobby horses for us.


Other elements of our Whanau costumes were our cowboy hats (perfect for the scorching day it was yesterday), bandanas to keep the dust of the prairies from our faces, our vests, sheriff badges and lassoes.


If creativity and originality counted, we should have come first! Our kids appreciated our efforts to get into the spirit of the day and to represent Kaitoro.
