AC's Next Top Baker

On Tuesday I was lucky enough to be one of the judges for the annual Year 10 Food Tech baking competition.

We had at least eight different items to taste test and judge on texture, taste, presentation and originality. My three favourites were the brownie, the chocolate cake (bonus points for whipped cream!) and the calzone.

And then after lunch my camera was sitting on my desk. The boys borrowed it - I think they like the noise a DSLR makes. In addition to lots and lots of selfies and photos of them posing with teachers,  I found ...

I will be sure to keep this one until they are in Year 13 when I will show it to the whole Whanau.

Half a day to go!

  1. Definite blackmail potential there ;) I'd be putting my hand up for the calzone, it looks insanely cheesy and full of other goodness!

  2. That is hilarious! I had a similar experience one time finding a pic of one of my y10 boys posing in his boxers. The baking looks delicious :-)

    1. I think they are like puppies. They are forever running after each other, play tackling, showing off their muscles to each other. It's nice they are still so young and do play.

  4. Oh you have a terrible job having to eat all that food... The kids parents would like a secret copy of that for later to show at their 21sts...so I've been told, lol not really. Shows they know you will get the funny side to them playing around :)
