Meow Update

Our Monday Modern quilt group had a sew day today. (I feel our day needs a cooler name like all those cool quilters in North America who are always going on retreats!)

I thought I would get back to 'Meow' - the quilt I started some time last year. Back in 2013 I made this block - it was so long ago that the wrinkles won't iron out!

Today I made 1 1/2 more blocks to add to it. Each block measures 25". It's a slightly up-sized version of Camile Roskelley's Round and Round. Up-sized to take into account the size of the cats in the centre.

All up, it was quite a productive day. However, it will probably stay like this until the next sew day because I am only working on projects that don't contain squares or triangles at the moment.

  1. It's looking stunning ...I just love the blue/grey combo, and the kitty is so cute!! I guess the linen creases will drop out eventually, if not it adds texture!! Linda

  3. I've been trying to think up a cool name for us but drawing a blank. I hope that doesn't mean we're not cool? Gasp.

  6. Oh the kitties are so sweet! I like the stars in the round arrangement too, so I must need to check that pattern out. Never mind the wrinkles--they add character, and after it's all put together and quilted, there will be many more anyway. :-)
