In the Neighbourhood Quilt

This is my favourite quilt in Modern Patchwork by Elizabeth Hartman.

I bought this at Spotlight for the windows.

I have started four yellow houses. And I am going with orange and green for the other houses in the 'hood.

I am unsure what colour to use for the background. I am considering a medium shade of blue something like the darkest blue in the Spotlight piece.
