Churning and Dashing

According to the internet, the Churn and Dash block is so named because the pattern resembles a butter churn and stick (dash) - just like on Little House on the Prairie!

Anyway, our Monday Modern block 'lotto' for October is aqua and red churn and dash. They are very economical to make - 4 1/2 inches across the width of two fabrics.

Economical to make, but difficult to photograph! The first picture shows the more accurate colour.

You can see others' blocks in our flickr pool.

  1. They look so cute Karyn - I am thinking I might have to do a red/aqua one for myself too.

  6. Lovely fabrics for the churn dash. I'm visiting your blog by way of WIP Wednesday and, coincidentally, I'm Robyn's mom.
